Lauren Ivey Artistic Environmental Manager
Lauren brings more than 20 years of fine arts talent and experience to The Ivey Team creating a design concept with spaces that evoke response and emotions. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Lauren's diverse background in the areas of fine arts, museum management, and private design work adds a dimension to The Ivey not found in other older adult daytime environments. Her work has appeared in numerous juried exhibitions in southeastern United States and has been displayed in galleries in Philadelphia, Durham, Fayetteville, and Charlotte. Her work for The Ivey has been designed to encourage interaction and joy, with comfort, safety, and attention to detail. As part of her ongoing role with The Ivey, Lauren will coordinate all grounds-keeping and interior plantscapes, maintaining them for longevity. In addition, she will ensure that all furniture and fixtures are maintained in the highest quality and ensure that seasonal and thematic attention to décor is both obtained and maintained at the highest level of quality. While handling all interior and artistic coordination, she will also serve as the liaison to community arts programs, finding ways to promote The Ivey as a community arts supporter. Lauren has a special connection and compassion for The Ivey's work because it is her Aunt Nancy Ivey, the mother of Lynn Ivey, who was the inspiration for the center.
