May I visit The Ivey?
Visitors are always welcome. In fact, we encourage you to take a tour, as well as take advantage of a FREE ½-day visit for your loved one. The trial visit is a great time to assess how The Ivey fits you and your loved one.
Call 704-909-2070 to arrange your visit.
Is daily attendance required?
No, there is no minimum requirement. You may choose the days of attendance, from one to five days per week. It may be beneficial, to both the member and the caregiver, to attend at least three days a week to provide beneficial respite for the caregiver and a consistent schedule for your loved one.
Is a physician’s referral required?
No. Although many physicians recommend The Ivey, a doctor’s referral is not necessary. However, a physician-completed statement about your loved one’s medical condition is required prior to the first day of attendance.
How much does it cost?
In addition to quality services in a community setting, adult day care is the most affordable care option available. The Ivey is open 10 hours daily, from 7:30am to 5:30pm and your loved one goes home at night. Daily service fees range from $85-$95 per day, which equates to an hourly rate of $8.50 to $9.50 per hour. Click here for national service and cost comparisons, nationally.
What types of insurance pay for services?
Most long-term care insurance policies cover adult day care; check your policy for specific information. Your loved one may also be entitled to VA Aid & Attendance benefits if he/she meets certain veteran qualifications. Currently adult day care is not covered by Medicare. The Ivey is not a Medicaid provider.
